Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between River Waters (ranked 3656 p4p, 1578 weight class) and Gordon Hunter (ranked 427 p4p, 217 weight class). Hunter has chosen King of Curses as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, River Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gordon Hunter!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Waters looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Hunter uses his free foot to push down on Waters's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Waters.
Hunter trying to control but Waters is having none of it.
Hunter is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Waters to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Waters shrugs it off.
Waters is looking to improve his position but Hunter isn't that keen on the idea.
Hunter throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Waters has his hands clasped together but Hunter breaks the hold and Waters is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Hunter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gordon Hunter!
