Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Opp (ranked 3168 p4p, 4044 weight class) and Clark Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joshua Opp has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joshua Opp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clark Kent!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kent gets tackled into the cage by Opp. Opp maintains the clinch.
Opp tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kent smiles and moves away.

Kent has closed the distance and engaged Opp in a clinch.

Kent breaks the clinch.

Kent changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Opp looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Opp is letting Kent control him for a moment.
Kent cracks Opp with a big right hand but Opp just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Opp tries to improve position but can't.
Kent wants to stand but Opp is controlling his arm.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Opp is looking for a sweep.

Kent is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Opp has escaped the position, nice work there.
Opp is looking for a sweep.
Opp is working hard here to advance position.
Opp looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kent staying calm.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kent gets to mount! Opp was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Opp sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Opp wants to improve his position but Kent is controlling well.
Kent is stalling here. Opp is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Kent seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Opp has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Kent tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Opp is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kent is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Opp working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Kent can't do much from the bottom here.
Opp trying to control the position but Kent is working away.
Kent really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Opp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Opp wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kent, who protects the arm well.
You can see the frustration on Kent's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Opp is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kent has escaped the position, nice work there.
Opp tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kent's legs.
Kent is looking for a sweep.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kent is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Opp tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Joshua Opp dominated that round.
That's time! Opp's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kent tries to close the distance and clinch up but Opp swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kent tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kent misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Opp instigates a clinch.
Kent tries to pull guard but Opp won't allow it.
Kent stalling in the clinch.
Kent stops a takedown attempt from Opp.

Kent pulls guard effortlessly.
Opp could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Opp trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kent wants to improve his position but instead Opp has moved into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kent manages to get to full guard.

Opp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Opp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kent is looking to stand up but Opp isn't so interested in that idea.

Kent is trying to push Opp off with his feet but Opp grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Kent's ankles and Kent is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Ankle Lock). Joshua Opp!
