The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Viera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kinkead can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kinkead not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Kinkead stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Viera swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Viera is looking for a triangle but Kinkead pushes his legs off easily.
Viera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Viera isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kinkead stacks Viera on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kinkead!

Viera is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kinkead's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kinkead's back!
