Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aidan Cooty (ranked 2886 p4p, 4523 weight class) and Flynn Silva (ranked 156 p4p, 209 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Cooty takes one to the chin there.
Silva cracks Cooty with an open hand slap.

Cooty tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Cooty ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Cooty takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Silva throws a combination. Cooty tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silva feints and as Cooty raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Cooty on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cooty tries to get out of the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cooty. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Silva bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Silva lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Cooty needs to keep his hands up - Silva had a free shot at his head there.

Well Silva has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
