Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ian Gary (ranked 24990 p4p, 5712 weight class) and Sandy Storm (ranked 535 p4p, 524 weight class). Ian Gary has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ian Gary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sandy Storm!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gary shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Storm sprawls well. Storm wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gary gets slowly back to his feet.
Gary closes the distance and clinches up with Storm, looking for a takedown. Gary pushes Storm against the cage but Storm circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gary swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Storm lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Gary fails in his attempt to clinch.

Storm closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Storm lands in his opponent's guard.
Storm slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Storm landing some decent shots from guard.
Gary is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Storm is in close to Gary's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Storm stops Gary from standing up.

Gary is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Storm defends well.
Gary wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Storm is now in half guard.
Gary is breathing heavily.
Storm takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Storm landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Storm trying to control the pace.
Gary really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gary taking some punishment here, with Storm in his half guard.

Gary is rocked!
Storm lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Gary quite badly. Gary pulls Storm in close trying to recover. Storm postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Gary on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Gary doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sandy Storm!
