Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Messing (ranked 2524 p4p, 2957 weight class) and Mombasa Magabi (ranked 260 p4p, 306 weight class). Mombasa Magabi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mombasa Magabi !
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magabi gets caught napping as Messing dives in and scores a takedown. Magabi manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Messing closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Messing looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Magabi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mombasa Magabi 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mombasa Magabi 's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

In his post fight interview, Gerard Messing started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
