Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xander Scott (ranked 1241 p4p, 1308 weight class) and Kamu Havas (ranked 76 p4p, 82 weight class). Scott comes to the cage accompanied by I DON'T GIVE A FUCK. Havas has chosen LXST CXNTURY - CARBON MIST as his entrance music. Kamu Havas has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xander Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kamu Havas!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Despite the aggression on Havas's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Havas stuffs the takedown attempt from Scott. Scott gets slowly back to his feet.
Havas looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Scott shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Havas counters with a crisp one two that drops Scott! Havas thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Scott to his feet! Scott is in big trouble!
Havas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xander Scott. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Scott drives through and clinches with Havas against the cage.
Havas goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Havas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Scott prevents Havas from breaking the clinch.
Havas wants to get back to striking at distance but Scott won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scott tries to pull guard but Havas won't allow it.
I was talking to Scott's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Scott.
Havas wants to break the clinch but can't.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Scott.
Scott throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Havass head.

It looks like Kamu Havas has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Scott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Havas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Scott momentarily.
Scott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Scott tries to clinch up.
Scott keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Scott closes the distance and clinches.
Scott is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Havas pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Scott breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Havas misses with a straight right.
Scott tries to clinch but Havas is having none of it.
Havas misses with a wild combination.
Scott throwing a counter right hand but Havas manages to avoid it.
Havas slips a straight right by Scott.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scott misses with a takedown
and Havas counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Danga de danga de dang - Scott scores with a four punch combination!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Havas throws a body shot but no joy.
Scott throws a head kick but Havas moves out of range.
Scott walks straight into a right hand from Havas - that's dropped him! Havas jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Scott from any more punishment! Scott complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kamu Havas!
In his post fight interview, Kamu Havas started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
