The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pierce.
Pierce tries to clinch but Frankenstein moves out of range.

Frankenstein wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Frankenstein could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Frankenstein darts in and clinches Pierce up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frankenstein gets control of Pierce's arms and successfully pulls guard. Frankenstein will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Pierce wants to get up but he can't break Frankenstein's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Pierce content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Frankenstein has locked up a guillotine! Frankenstein's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Pierce is holding on here and Frankenstein must be using up a lot of energy. Pierce has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Frankenstein gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
