This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Nicandro Aloisio! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 2 losses; Bruno Fortuna!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Aloisio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aloisio clinches with his opponent.
Aloisio is looking to take this one to the mat.
Aloisio can't get the takedown.
Fortuna jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Aloisio walks away with a smile on his face. Fortuna gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Fortuna tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aloisio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Aloisio has taken the fight to the clinch.

Nicandro Aloisio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aloisio moves into the clinch successfully.
Aloisio ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Aloisio no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Aloisio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fortuna manages to get himself to full guard.

Fortuna has his foot on Aloisio's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aloisio works his way back into a safe position though.
Fortuna looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fortuna can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aloisio controls the pace.

Aloisio has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Aloisio passes Fortuna's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fortuna looking for submissions off his back.
Fortuna really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aloisio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aloisio jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Fortuna manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fortuna is looking to reverse the position.

Fortuna is looking to improve his position but Aloisio isn't that keen on the idea.
