The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karlsson tries to keep at a distance but Jemeljanenko has taken the fight into the clinch.

Jemeljanenko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Karlsson has eaten all the pies!
Jemeljanenko misses with a double jab.
Jemeljanenko closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Jemeljanenko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jemeljanenko tries to bum rush Karlsson with a series of wild strikes but Karlsson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Karlsson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jemeljanenko as he jumps to the side.

Karlsson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jemeljanenko kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Karlsson is trying to keep from getting into a worse position than he's already in but Karlsson is working away and isn't letting himself get tied up.

and Jemeljanenko counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Karlsson's guard now.
