Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Hunter (ranked 2499 p4p, 2461 weight class) and Daroshev Faroshev (ranked 302 p4p, 299 weight class). Hunter's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, King of Curses. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Daroshev Faroshev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faroshev slaps away a takedown attempt from Hunter, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Faroshev with the counter takedown but Hunter avoids it easily.

Hunter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hunter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hunter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Faroshev wants to stand up but Hunter is controlling him.
Hunter stays in close to Faroshev's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Faroshev's guard.
Hunter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Hunter in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Faroshev tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hunter!
