PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bael Devlin (ranked 4266 p4p, 4265 weight class) and Seemah Feet Jr (ranked 212 p4p, 210 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bael Devlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Seemah Feet Jr!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.

Devlin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Feet Jr, pushing him back against the cage.
Feet Jr misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Devlin.
Feet Jr has Devlin pushed against the cage.
Devlin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Feet Jr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Feet Jr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Feet Jr is looking for a triangle but Devlin pushes his legs off easily.

Feet Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Devlin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Devlin drops back looking for a leg! Feet Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Feet Jr manages to kick Devlin off! Devlin jumps back into Feet Jr's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Feet Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Devlin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Devlin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Devlin advances to half guard.
Devlin is trying to control. Feet Jr wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Devlin thows a huge punch but Feet Jr dodges it nicely.
Feet Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Devlin is working away from the top position though.
Devlin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Feet Jr tries to get to full guard but Devlin has control of the leg.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Devlin closes the distance and pushes Feet Jr back into the cage.

Devlin jumps guard.
Devlin is trying to control the position but Feet Jr postures up.
Devlin has control of Feet Jr's left arm, preventing Feet Jr from doing any damage.

Devlin throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Feet Jr escapes and throws Devlin's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Feet Jr wants to control but Devlin is keeping him busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Feet Jr swings around for an armbar but Devlin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Feet Jr's guard.
Feet Jr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Feet Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Feet Jr stalling away here and it's allowed Devlin to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Feet Jr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Feet Jr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's time! Devlin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Feet Jr fails to land the takedown.
Feet Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Devlin pushes Feet Jr up against the cage in a clinch.

Devlin pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Feet Jr with a flurry of punches that miss.

Devlin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Feet Jr gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Feet Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Devlin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bael Devlin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Devlin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
