Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Captain Blood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, George Tucker!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tucker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Blood struggles to land a body shot inside as Tucker controls his hands.
Tucker is pushing Blood up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Tucker throws a punch but it's blocked by Blood.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tucker creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tucker has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Blood seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Tucker can turn it around.

Blood is trying to push Tucker away but Tucker has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

I was talking to Blood's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Blood fails to pull guard.
Blood tries a body shot but Tucker blocks it.

Tucker lands a shot to the body.
Tucker presses Blood against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

George Tucker dominated that round.

Tucker slips a jab from Blood.
A little jabbing left from Tucker on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Blood misses the jab.
Blood scores with a decent looking hook.
Blood throws a hook but Tucker blocks it.
A nice combination there by Blood.

and Tucker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Blood takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Blood shoots in but no luck this time.

Tucker clinches up against the cage.
Blood misses with a hook from the clinch.
Blood tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tucker misses with the head strike.

A short uppercut from Tucker.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blood working aggressively here.
Blood misses with a hook to the ribs.
Tucker controlling the action here for a moment.
Tucker scores with a nice hook to the head.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Blood jumps guard and drags Tucker to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Blood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tucker manages to get himself to full guard.

Tucker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blood. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blood is working Tucker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Blood pushes down on Tucker's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blood slips a nice elbow through Tucker's hands, connecting with Tucker's forehead.
Tucker wants to control but Blood is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Blood lands with a punch from half guard.
Tucker keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Tucker is looking to control Blood's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tucker avoid being mounted?

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tucker can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tucker wants to control but Blood is keeping busy.

Blood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tucker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Blood thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tucker's head.

Tucker is trying to control but can't.
Tucker manages to get to full guard.
Tucker has momentary wrist control but Blood slips an elbow through the middle.

Tucker has hold of Blood's hands but Blood slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blood connects with a nice short shot to Tucker's temple.

Tucker is still in real trouble! Can Blood finish him?
Blood is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Tucker is hurt! He's hurt bad - Blood fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Tucker from any more punishment! Congratulations to Blood! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Captain Blood!
After winning the bout, Captain Blood thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
