Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Petteri Katayamaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tadamasa Yamada!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katayamaki misses with a head kick.
A nice combination there by Katayamaki.
Katayamaki swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yamada looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Katayamaki lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Katayamaki bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Yamada's head.

Katayamaki shoots in and bounces Yamada off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Yamada not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Yamada has Katayamaki pulled in close to control his posture.
Yamada looking for a sweep. Not yet Yamada, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Katayamaki postures up.

Katayamaki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Katayamaki wanted to stand there but Yamada had control of the position.
Katayamaki working some strikes from top position.
Katayamaki looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Yamada has Katayamaki pulled in close to control his posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Yamada is trying to control the position but Katayamaki postures up.
Katayamaki won't allow Yamada to sweep him here.
Katayamaki has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Yamada is proving hard to escape from.

Yamada working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Katayamaki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Katayamaki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Yamada looks gassed!

Yamada looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Katayamaki is defending well. Yamada quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Katayamaki has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Yamada celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
