Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ali Amir (ranked 396 p4p, 559 weight class) and Orestes Prometheus (ranked 50 p4p, 67 weight class). Amir's entrance music is Mastodon - Gobblers of Dregs. A fine choice. Prometheus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Before I Forget - Slipknot kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Prometheus.
Prometheus misses with a body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Prometheus misses the target.
Amir tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Prometheus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice body kick there by Prometheus.
Amir misses the shot to the body.
Prometheus now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Nice defenses there by Amir.
Amir moves out of range as Prometheus strikes.
A head kick by Amir misses
and Prometheus counters with a low kick, right behind Amir 's knee.
Orestes Prometheus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prometheus throws a half hearted mid kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amir takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

It looks like Ali Amir has been cut.
Amir is looking to chop away at Prometheus's legs.
Amir has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gunner's School of Combat in the buildup to the fight.
Amir pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Prometheus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Amir throws a counter high kick but Prometheus was just alert enough to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Amir throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Prometheus now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Prometheus throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Amir on the side of the head.
Nice body kick there by Prometheus.
Prometheus sizes up Amir with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Amir doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Amir is breathing heavily.
Prometheus scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Amir doesn't seem bothered though.
A head kick by Amir misses
and Prometheus counters with a body kick that stops Amir in his tracks momentarily.
Prometheus lands with a nice body kick.
Crunch! Prometheus slams his shin into Amir's torso.
Amir avoids the head kick by Prometheus.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Amir swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Amir doesn't manage to clinch there - Prometheus circles away.

Nice uppercut lands for Prometheus. That snapped Amir's head back.
Prometheus misses with a hook. Amir ducked under it nicely.
A bone on bone clash there as Prometheus blocks the leg kick.
Prometheus takes a swing at Amir's ribcage but misses.
Amir is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Prometheus.

and Prometheus counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Amir thinking.
Prometheus connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Amir's hands.
Prometheus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Prometheus. Amir shrugs it off though.
Prometheus throws a right and a left that both miss.
Prometheus digs a good body shot into Amir's ribs.
Amir stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Prometheus.
Prometheus's jab looks to have found its range, popping Amir under the eye.

Ali Amir's cut is getting worse.

Prometheus lands a jab.
A big right from Prometheus misses.
Prometheus scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Prometheus cracks Amir with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Amir falls to his knees and Prometheus doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
