Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyoji Horiguchi (ranked 2268 p4p, 3107 weight class) and Jack Jenkins Jr (ranked 156 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyoji Horiguchi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoji Horiguchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Jenkins Jr!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Horiguchi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jack Jenkins Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins Jr misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Horiguchi misses with a head kick.
Jenkins Jr tries a quick counter leg kick but Horiguchi is wise to it.
Jenkins Jr tries to score with a low kick but Horiguchi moves his leg out of the way.
A little feinted left hand from Horiguchi on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That was a close round but I would say that Kyoji Horiguchi will probably get the nod.

Jenkins Jr is pushing Horiguchi's head away, looking to escape. Horiguchi manages to hold on to the position though.

Horiguchi wants to control but Jenkins Jr is keeping him busy.

Horiguchi has hold of Jenkins Jr's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jenkins Jr manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Horiguchi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jenkins Jr to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jenkins Jr shrugs it off.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Horiguchi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
