Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ken Vrjalya (ranked 1939 p4p, 2154 weight class) and Samson Komua (ranked 224 p4p, 245 weight class). Samson Komua acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Samson Komua!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Komua misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Vrjalya counters with a takedown into side control.

Komua bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Komua moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Komua's coach down at 23.5 Hour Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Komua's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Vrjalya throws a hook but Komua avoids it easily.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Komua lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vrjalya has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vrjalya and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Vrjalya shoots for a double leg takedown but Komua sprawls well. He's pushed Vrjalya's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Komua lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Vrjalya feints and as Komua raises his hands in defense, Vrjalya changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Komua throws out a loose jab but Vrjalya uses good head movement to avoid it.
Komua does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Komua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vrjalya was well out of range. Poor timing from Komua.
Vrjalya is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Vrjalya shoots in looking for a takedown but Komua manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vrjalya's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Vrjalya moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Komua throws the left hand but Vrjalya avoids the punch easily.
Vrjalya throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Komua's waist but Komua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vrjalya off to one side.
Vrjalya swings for the body but Komua moves out of range.

Komua drops Vrjalya with a naaaaasty hook - Vrjalya is in real trouble here! Komua dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
