Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Noir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bacon's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Scissors For Lefty - Softly The Sea Swallows The Sun. Matt Bacon has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bacon lands a head shot.
Nice sprawl there from Bacon as Noir shoots in.

Bacon darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Bacon wants to control but Noir is keeping him busy.
Noir is trying to get back to full guard.
Noir is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bacon scores with a couple of nice shots.

Bacon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bacon connects with a nice short shot to Noir's temple.
Bacon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bacon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bacon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Noir with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bacon passes into side control, despite Noir's attempt to control the position.

Noir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bacon wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Noir takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Noir regains half guard.
Bacon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Noir is not content to let Bacon control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bacon shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bacon was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bacon has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Noir's face.

Bacon has hold of Noir's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Noir manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Bacon postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Noir looks a forlorn figure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bacon cracks Noir with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
