Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Presley Chai (ranked 494 p4p, 464 weight class) and Lutalo Masamba (ranked 64 p4p, 60 weight class). Masamba has chosen Conversations (Skeler Remix) - Juice WRLD as his entrance music. Lutalo Masamba has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Presley Chai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lutalo Masamba!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chai with a lazy takedown attempt
and Masamba counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Masamba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chai has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Chai instigates a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Masamba's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Chai can't find room to land a body shot as Masamba controls the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masamba's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Chai tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Chai changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Masamba looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chai is trying to ground and pound but Masamba uses the momentary lack of control by Chai to regain half guard.
Masamba felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chai lands a nice short elbow.
Masamba pushes Chai off but Chai dives into side control.
We've been hearing that Chai has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chai accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chai throws a strike but Masamba rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Masamba lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Chai steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Masamba.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Lutalo Masamba will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Masamba is countered with a crisp right hand from Chai that sends him to the canvas! Chai follows him to the mat into side control.

It looks like Lutalo Masamba has been cut.
Chai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Masamba keeps working.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chai has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Presley Chai overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Masamba pulls Chai in close to prevent any damage.
Chai lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chai is working Masamba over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Masamba wriggles free and stands up.
Chai connects with a single shot there.

Masamba is rocked!
Chai is stalking Masamba. Masamba circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Chai, and it's lights out! Masamba really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
