Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frodo Baggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eli Gabriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frodo Baggins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Gabriel!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Baggins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gabriel avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baggins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gabriel circles away quickly and effectively.
Eli Gabriel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baggins misses with an uppercut. Gabriel saw that one coming.
Baggins lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Baggins.


It looks like Eli Gabriel has been cut.
Baggins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gabriel tests Baggins's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Baggins fails to land with a series of punches.
Baggins drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gabriel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Baggins's head backwards.

Gabriel rushes Baggins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Gabriel tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Baggins avoids it.
Baggins is looking to control Gabriel's arms but Gabriel gets an underhook and turns him. Now Baggins has his back to the cage.
Baggins is looking to break free of the clinch but Gabriel has double underhooks.

Gabriel goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Baggins throws a knee to the head but misses.
Gabriel tries to land knees in the clinch but Baggins avoids the damage to the body.

Baggins lands an elbow that stopped Gabriel in his tracks for a moment.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gabriel just misses with a elbow thrown towards Baggins's brow.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Gabriel scores with a nice right hand.
Gabriel tries to clinch but Baggins is having none of it.
Baggins is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gabriel dodges the punch combination from Baggins.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gabriel frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gabriel tries to control but Baggins wriggling away.
Baggins is trying to escape the mount.
Baggins stops Gabriel from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gabriel jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Baggins is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Baggins and Gabriel has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Baggins throws a wild body kick that Gabriel sees coming a mile off.
Baggins doesn't manage to clinch there - Gabriel circles away.
A big left from Gabriel misses.
Baggins misses with a two punch combination.
Gabriel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gabriel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Baggins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gabriel checks a leg kick.
Baggins has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gabriel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Baggins swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gabriel tries to score with some ground and pound. Baggins controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Gabriel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gabriel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Good exchange - Baggins coming out on top.

and Baggins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The cut man is working on Eli Gabriel's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Frodo Baggins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Gabriel.

I would just about give that final round to Eli Gabriel.
I think Gabriel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
