Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Lachida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Envidia Mata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mata comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sinner by Drowning Pool kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Envidia Mata struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mata dives in and grabs Lachida's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lachida pushes down on Mata's head and hops out.
Mata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mata walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lachida.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lachida looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lachida scores with a jab to the jaw.
It looks like Envidia Mata has been cut.
Lachida throws a head kick but Mata moves out of range.
Lachida scores with a kick to the midsection.
Mata walks into a left hand.
Lachida shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lachida postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mata looks a forlorn figure.

Mata is squirming around, avoiding Lachida's attempts to control the action.

Lachida can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mata is looking to escape.

Mata tries to lock up and control but Lachida gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lachida postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mata looks a forlorn figure.

Lachida thows a body kick. Mata tries to catch it but that hurt him.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lachida misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ryoto Lachida is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mata doesn't manage to clinch there - Lachida circles away.
Lachida tries to clinch up but Mata circles away and keeps his distance.
Mata throws a series of punches but Lachida moves out of range.
Lachida scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lachida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mata's head.
Mata takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Mata avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mata crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lachida - the referee stops the clock and Mata gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lachida. Mata manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lachida gets a clinch.
Mata is breathing heavily.
Mata jumps guard but Lachida stands there with Mata around his waist. Mata gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lachida goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mata prevents it.
Lachida throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mata blocks it with crossed arms.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lachida obliges.

Lachida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lachida lands a head kick. Mata smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Mata shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lachida manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lachida is trying to keep Mata in close.
Mata slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lachida wants to sweep but no luck.

Lachida is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mata is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
An inside leg kick lands from Lachida.
Lachida fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mata looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lachida closes the distance and pushes Mata back into the cage.
Lachida wants to stall.
Lachida with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Mata will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lachida up against the cage.
Mata has hold of one of Lachida's legs. Lachida is fighting the takedown attempt but Mata gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
A head kick by Mata misses
and Lachida counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lachida.
Mata has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lachida avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lachida stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Lachida manages to break the clinch.
Lachida shoots in looking for a takedown. Mata tries to sprawl out of it but Lachida keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mata manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lachida tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mata swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mata should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lachida has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mata's face.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mata is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ryoto Lachida is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ryoto Lachida overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mata wants to control but Lachida is having none of it.

I would just about give that final round to Envidia Mata.
Well Lachida has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
