The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Apuro dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Apuro's head and hops out.
Jackson attempts a counter takedown but Apuro avoids it well and moves away.
Jackson blocks a jab.
Apuro fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jackson changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Apuro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Apuro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Apuro in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Jackson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Apuro turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
