Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Diego (ranked 3154 p4p, 3144 weight class) and Derek Patterson (ranked 378 p4p, 375 weight class). Patterson has chosen I'm So High. Nashville Pussy as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Derek Patterson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Sam Diego will probably get the nod.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Patterson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Diego has got the better of the exchanges.

Diego has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Patterson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Diego is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Patterson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Diego lands with an uppercut that bounces Patterson off the cage and back into range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Patterson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Diego has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Diego and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
