The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Anderson just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Anderson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anderson enables Jones to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anderson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Anderson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jones off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Anderson didn't expect that.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Anderson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Jones comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Anderson can't find room to land a body shot as Jones controls the action.
Jones creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Anderson's defenses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones wants the takedown. Anderson is fighting it off but Jones persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Anderson's guard against the cage.
Anderson is looking to stand back up but Jones counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Anderson.

Jones is trying to control. Anderson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Anderson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Jones has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jones.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Anderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard.

A head punch on the inside from Jones fails to land.
Anderson drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anderson walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Jonny Jones seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Anderson walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Anderson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
