Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chikovani swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brooks dives in and grabs Chikovani's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chikovani pushes down on Brooks's head and hops out.
Chikovani throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brooks shoots for a double leg takedown but Chikovani sprawls well. He's pushed Brooks's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chikovani paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Brooks closes the distance and clinches up with Chikovani, looking for a takedown. Brooks pushes Chikovani against the cage but Chikovani circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Chikovani on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Arkady Chikovani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Brooks.
Chikovani takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An inside leg kick from Brooks misses.
Brooks shoots in for a takedown but Chikovani shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Chikovani leaves Brooks with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chikovani throws a quick counter head kick but Brooks was just out of range.
Arkady Chikovani is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brooks takes the fight into the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brooks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Chikovani is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Brooks tries to pull guard but Chikovani holds him up against the cage and eventually Brooks drops back down to his feet.

Brooks misses with an elbow over the top.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Arkady Chikovani.
Brooks shoots in but no luck this time.
Chikovani is looking to counter punch.
Brooks tries to clinch but Chikovani is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Brooks closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Chikovani's guard.

Chikovani has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Brooks doesn't defend quickly enough and Chikovani has managed to lock this one up! Can Brooks escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Chikovani on a fantastic submission victory.
