The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takahashi throws out a loose jab but Tucker uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Takahashi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Takahashi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Takahashi's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Tucker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Takahashi scrambles back to his feet.
Takahashi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tucker circles away quickly and effectively.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Takahashi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Takahashi is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tucker rolls with it to try and escape but Takahashi cranks on the arm and Tucker is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
