PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Cruzeiro (ranked 1678 p4p, 1446 weight class) and Brad Chestner (ranked 235 p4p, 207 weight class). Cruzeiro comes into the arena with Jah Jah The Conqueror by Linval Thompson blaring out of the sound system. Chestner is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Black Eyed Bruiser. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Brad Chestner enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chestner on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cruzeiro. Cruzeiro obviously looking to wear him down.

Chestner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cruzeiro to the mat! Cruzeiro manages to get full guard.

Cruzeiro scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Chestner manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cruzeiro on his heels. He'll look to pass Cruzeiro's guard now, I'm sure.

Chestner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cruzeiro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chestner has his foot on Cruzeiro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cruzeiro works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Chestner is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Chestner is trying desperately to improve position.

Chestner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cruzeiro's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chestner under the eye.

Cruzeiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cruzeiro wants it to stay on the feet.

Chestner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruzeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cruzeiro is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chestner can do to turn this around?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chestner stands and throws Cruzeiro's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Chestner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cruzeiro, who protects the arm well.

Chestner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Chestner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Chestner has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Cruzeiro is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Chestner yanks on the arm and Cruzeiro is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Chestner.

Brad Chestner spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
