Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bjorn Bjornsson (ranked 1869 p4p, 3622 weight class) and Dimebag Abbot (ranked 221 p4p, 384 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bjornsson tries to keep at a distance but Abbot has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bjornsson has Abbot pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Abbot manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bjornsson tries to pull guard but Abbot forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Bjornsson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Abbot walks away with a smile on his face. Bjornsson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Abbot shoots in for a double leg but Bjornsson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Abbot isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bjornsson stacks Abbot on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bjornsson!

Abbot has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bjornsson uses from the top position.
