PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richie Alaska (ranked 1345 p4p, 1625 weight class) and Aramis Knox (ranked 181 p4p, 217 weight class). Alaska comes to the cage accompanied by A Long December - Counting Crows. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Richie Alaska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aramis Knox!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alaska connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Knox doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Alaska looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Alaska forces Knox back against the cage and clinches.

Knox manages to break the clinch.
Alaska wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Knox postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Alaska covers up, he's hurt! Knox keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Knox and the ref steps in to end the fight! Knox can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
