Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Meite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy DeMora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Solomon Meite!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy DeMora!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMora tries to bum rush Meite with a series of wild strikes but Meite uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Meite bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
DeMora is looking for a sweep.
Meite remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
DeMora can't do much from the bottom here.

Meite tries for a kimura but DeMora is defending well.
Meite lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear DeMora down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on DeMora's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

DeMora tries to buck Meite off but Meite is having none of it.

Meite tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meite has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Meite is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. DeMora knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

DeMora drops down looking for an ankle pick but Meite pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

DeMora tries to pull guard but Meite won't allow it.
Solomon Meite has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Troy DeMora.
Meite fails to pull the fight into his guard.

DeMora's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
DeMora fails with the takedown.
Meite lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as DeMora backs up against the cage.
Meite shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and DeMora counters with a single leg into guard. Meite didn't expect that.
Meite is breathing heavily.
Meite is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
DeMora wants to control from the top but Meite keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Meite is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst DeMora is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Meite looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Meite tries to close the distance and clinch but DeMora swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Meite has taken the fight to the clinch.
DeMora tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Meite just stands there and leans against the cage.

DeMora wants the takedown. Meite is fighting it off but DeMora persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Meite's guard against the cage.

DeMora wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meite keeps working.

The referee asks DeMora politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. DeMora prefers to stall for the moment though.

and DeMora counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by DeMora.
DeMora is trying to drag Meite to the mat but Meite just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
DeMora jumps guard but Meite stands there with DeMora around his waist. DeMora gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Meite escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Meite is looking for a sweep. DeMora is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

DeMora fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
DeMora thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Meite is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. DeMora locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Meite is forced to tap!
