In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 15 wins and 4 losses; Stsyapan Chai! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 1 losses; Henry Grace!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Grace keeps the fight on the outside.

Grace clinches with his opponent.

Grace jumps into guard, dragging Chai to the mat.

Grace had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chai defends it easily.

Grace has his foot on Chai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chai works his way back into a safe position though.
Chai is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Grace is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chai is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grace is looking to sweep but instead, Chai has passed into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chai in particular looking to stall.

Chai wants to free his trapped foot but Grace is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Grace is looking for a sweep. Chai is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Grace is not content to let Chai control the position.
Chai tries to pass the half guard into mount. Grace knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Grace is looking to control Chai's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Grace avoid being mounted?

Chai is taking a breather. Grace says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Grace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chai's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chai's back!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grace is controlling the position but Chai somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Chai is looking for a sweep. Grace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Grace has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Chai defend it? Grace steps over the head and cranks it - Chai is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Grace!
