Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rida Binnani (ranked 3944 p4p, 4949 weight class) and Derrick Allen (ranked 455 p4p, 526 weight class). Allen has chosen yeat-spiderman remix as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rida Binnani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Derrick Allen!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Binnani has taken the fight to the clinch.
I was talking to Binnani's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Allen is trying to maintain a safe position but Binnani gets an underhook and turns Allen into the ropes.
Allen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Allen is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Binnani can't fight it off and eventually Allen manages to take the fight to the floor. Binnani looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Allen pushing down on Binnani's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Allen stops Binnani from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allen content to control rather than advance.
It looks like Allen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Binnani is breathing heavily.

Binnani really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Allen with a lazy takedown attempt

and Binnani counters by moving into the clinch.

Allen manages to break the clinch.

Allen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A lull in the action here.
Allen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Binnani is being controlled here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Allen shoots in but no luck this time.
Allen shoots in and drives through. Binnani sprawls well.
We've been informed that Allen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Rida Binnani has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derrick Allen.

Allen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Allen is standing up over Binnani. Binnani looks to escape but Allen dives into side control.

Allen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Allen's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Allen advances to full mount.
Allen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Allen is continuing to stall.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The adventures of Allen the control monster continue. Boring.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Let's hope that Allen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
More stalling from Allen.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Allen.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Derrick Allen dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Allen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Allen drives through with a takedown into Binnani's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Binnani wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Allen manages to pass to side control.

Allen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Allen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Allen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Allen wants to pass the guard but Binnani is defending well.

Allen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Allen with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
Allen moves nicely into side control.
Allen works to advance to full mount. Binnani defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Binnani really wants to buck Allen off and get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Derrick Allen has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rida Binnani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Derrick Allen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Derrick Allen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Allen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
