Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phill Bateman!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward swings widly with a right hand
enabling Bateman to counter with a crisp jab.
Sloppy strikes from Bateman. Those never looked like landing.
Some wild striking there from Bateman.
Bateman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ward lands a lovely overhand right.
Bateman closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Bateman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Bateman instigates a clinch.
Bateman blocks an uppercut.
Ward lands with a left to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bateman lands with a short shot to the head.
Bateman tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ward wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bateman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ward swats away the attempt to clinch by Bateman.
Ward walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!

Phill Bateman spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
