Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phill Bateman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Drayk DeMarco!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMarco looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Bateman throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
DeMarco swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bateman takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
DeMarco showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bateman.
DeMarco fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Bateman takes a kick to the side of the head.
DeMarco connects with a nice looking jab.
Bateman takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bateman just misses with a punch to the body.
DeMarco slips a straight right by Bateman.
DeMarco lands a nice looking body shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bateman tries to move into range but DeMarco moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A low kick from Bateman misses
and DeMarco counters with a nice uppercut.
Bateman takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bateman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. DeMarco sees it coming and avoids it easily.
DeMarco with a nice cross.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Bateman.
Nice uppercut lands for DeMarco. That snapped Bateman's head back.
Bateman is rocked!
Bateman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Oh Bateman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
DeMarco stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
DeMarco connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
DeMarco throws a front kick to the face that drops Bateman face first to the mat! Oh, he's in big trouble! He's stumbling all over the place and has face planted into the ropes, causing the referee to call an end to the fight! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Front Kick). Drayk DeMarco!
Drayk DeMarco bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
