Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Richlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Swiftwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glenn Swiftwater is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Richlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Glenn Swiftwater!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swiftwater throws a body punch but Richlin moves out of range.
Richlin walks into a left hand.
Swiftwater moves out of range of the strikes.
Swiftwater looks to land a right hand but Richlin moved out of range.
Swiftwater throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Richlin's waist but Richlin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Swiftwater off to one side.

Swiftwater shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Swiftwater showed some decent athleticism there.
Richlin is trying to control but can't.
Swiftwater wants to free his trapped foot but Richlin is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Swiftwater is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Richlin kicks Swiftwater off and gets back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Richlin connects with a jab.
Richlin throws a body punch but Swiftwater moves out of range.
Richlin keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Swiftwater looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Frank Richlin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Richlin misses the jab.
Swiftwater shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Richlin but Richlin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Richlin connects with a looping right hand.
Richlin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Richlin is trying to get back to his feet.

Richlin wants to control but Swiftwater postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Swiftwater misses with a head kick.
Swiftwater pivots, looking for a leg kick but Richlin is out of range and Swiftwater settles back down.
Richlin swings away with a body shot that misses

and Swiftwater counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Swiftwater.
Swiftwater throws and elbow that misses. Richlin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Swiftwater's guard. Nice move by Richlin!

Swiftwater is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Richlin defends well.
Swiftwater looks gassed!
Richlin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Swiftwater trying to keep a closed guard but Richlin is proving a slippery customer.
Richlin is stalling in the full guard.
Richlin wants to control from the top but Swiftwater keeps moving.
Swiftwater is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Richlin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Swiftwater, up you get!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


A right-left combo lands from Richlin.
Swiftwater misses with a wild body shot.
Swiftwater changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richlin tries to avoid it but Swiftwater manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richlin to the ground. Richlin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Swiftwater throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Swiftwater throws and low kick but Richlin moves out of range easily.
A jab lands there for Richlin.
Swiftwater misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Richlin.
Frank Richlin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Swiftwater tries a head kick but it misses.
Richlin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jab, jab by Richlin - just one landing.
Swiftwater shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Richlin scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Swiftwater is breathing heavily.

Richlin throws out a powerful jab.
Richlin checks a low kick from Swiftwater.
Richlin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Richlin tests Swiftwater's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Swiftwater slips under a jab.
Swiftwater tries to clinch up.
Swiftwater wants to clinch up but Richlin keeps it at a distance.
Swiftwater moves out of range of the strikes.
Richlin stuffs the takedown attempt from Swiftwater. Swiftwater gets slowly back to his feet.
Frank Richlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Swiftwater.
Richlin cracks Swiftwater with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Swiftwater shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Richlin defends it nicely.
Richlin throws a hook but Swiftwater blocks it.
Richlin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Richlin throws a right hand that Swiftwater ducks under and follows up with a left that Swiftwater also avoids with ease.
A combination from Richlin does no damage.
Swiftwater tries to close the distance and clinch but Richlin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Swiftwater throws a left and a right that both miss
and Richlin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

enabling Richlin to counter with a crisp jab.
Swiftwater closes the distance but Richlin moves to the side
and Richlin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Swiftwater thinking.

Swiftwater takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Richlin tries to bum rush Swiftwater with a series of wild strikes but Swiftwater uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Swiftwater walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Richlin wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Frank Richlin is winning the standup battle so far.
Richlin throws a combination that misses

and Swiftwater counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Richlin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Richlin looking for a sweep. Not yet Richlin, not yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swiftwater pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Richlin is keeping the position for now.
Richlin is pulling down on Swiftwater's head to control his posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Swiftwater doesn't succeed with the takedown

Richlin swings for the body but Swiftwater moves out of range.

and Richlin counters with a straight right hand.
Swiftwater misses with an uppercut.
Swiftwater tries to clinch up but Richlin circles away and keeps his distance.
Swiftwater takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Swiftwater takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Swiftwater connects with a body shot.

Richlin throws a right hand that Swiftwater ducks under and follows up with a left that Swiftwater also avoids with ease.
Richlin fails to land with a series of punches.
Richlin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Richlin connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Swiftwater wants to clinch
and Richlin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Richlin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Glenn Swiftwater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

enabling Richlin to counter with a crisp jab.

Swiftwater decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Richlin tries to kick Swiftwater off but Swiftwater keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Swiftwater is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Richlin is looking for a sweep. Swiftwater is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Swiftwater is trying to control the action in half guard but Richlin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Richlin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Swiftwater is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Swiftwater throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Richlin kicks Swiftwater off and gets back to his feet.
Swiftwater has his takedown stuffed
and Richlin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Frank Richlin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Glenn Swiftwater.
Richlin lands with a right hand.
Swiftwater shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Richlin counters with a left to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Swiftwater takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
