Covington comes into a darkened arena with his song building. ... kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Covington ducks under a wild hook from Syaiful.
Covington ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Covington fails to land with a series of punches.
Syaiful moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Ashley Covington has been cut.
Syaiful lands with a hook. Covington tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Syaiful lands a jab to Covington's midsection.
Covington tries to clinch but Syaiful moves away
and Covington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Syaiful punishes Covington's body with a nice straight punch.
Ahmad Syaiful seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Covington fails with a takedown attempt.
Covington closes the distance and clinches up with Syaiful, looking for a takedown. Covington pushes Syaiful against the cage but Syaiful circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Covington dives in for a single leg takedown but Syaiful sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Covington drops his hands momentarily and Syaiful takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Syaiful unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Covington! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Syaiful is unloading with more strikes now! Covington drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
