Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hevi Hends (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Baas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Hevi Hends has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baas throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hends's waist but Hends gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baas off to one side.
Baas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hends defends it nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Hends gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hevi Hends has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Corey Baas.

Hends pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hends looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hends fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hends has closed the distance and engaged Baas in a clinch.
Hends is pressed up against the cage. Baas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hends down to the mat. Hends avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Horrible takedown by Baas or perhaps it was just good defense by Hends which made him look bad.
Hends will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Baas sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Baas takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hends tries to clinch but Baas is having none of it.

Hends throws a good cross that connects.
Hends lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hends lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hends.
Hevi Hends seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baas shoots and misses
and Hends connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Baas looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hends lands with a kick to the ribs.
Baas is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hends is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Baas.
Hends lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hends throws a series of strikes that have Baas backpedaling.
Baas walks forward, straight into a front kick from Hends.

Hends gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Hends stands and steps away. Baas gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Hends throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hends is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Baas defends well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Hends really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
