Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Barrel!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Drake closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Drake tries to stand but Barrel is controlling his head.
Barrel is trying to control Drake's posture but Drake avoids it.
Drake controls the position.
Barrel is not content to let Drake control the position.
Drake wants to stand but Barrel is controlling his arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barrel wants to control but Drake postures up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Drake tries for a kimura but Barrel is defending well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Drake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Barrel keeps working.

Drake thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Drake is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barrel knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barrel tries to control but Drake manages to take his back.

Barrel is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Barrel is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Barrel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Drake to the mat! Drake manages to get full guard.

Barrel postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Drake covers up, he's hurt! Barrel keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Barrel and the ref steps in to end the fight! Barrel can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Barrel!
John Barrel tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
