The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Álves Leite lands with a kick to the ribs.
Monroe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
As Monroe tries to get set, Álves Leite tries to push him back and clinch up but Monroe manages to avoid the attempt.
Monroe takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Dax Monroe has been cut.
Good shot there by Álves Leite.
Álves Leite throws a big shot that misses.

Álves Leite drops Monroe with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Monroe looks back up at him and smiles so Álves Leite waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Monroe is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Álves Leite rushes Monroe and presses him up against the cage.
Monroe is still on wobbly legs! Can Álves Leite finish him?
A head punch on the inside from Monroe fails to land.
Clinched against the cage, Álves Leite lands a big elbow that drops Monroe! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Monroe is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
