Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rida Binnani (ranked 4125 p4p, 4604 weight class) and Aamek Lion (ranked 485 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rida Binnani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aamek Lion!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lion gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Lion misses with a kick to the body.
Binnani lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Binnani changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lion tries to avoid it but Binnani manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lion to the ground. Lion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lion circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lion shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Binnani pinned against the cage. Binnani gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lion lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Binnani pushes off an throws an elbow but Lion leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Lion has Binnani pressed against the cage, preventing Binnani from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Binnani is trying to trip Lion. He has hold of a leg but Lion is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Binnani persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Binnani seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lion does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Binnani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Binnani postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lion to stand up.

Lion gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lion works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Binnani is pulling down on Lion's head. It's preventing any offense from Lion, at least for the moment.
Binnani is looking to stand up but Lion isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Binnani controls Lion momentarily but Lion frees himself.
Binnani is adopting a defensive guard.
Lion not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Binnani lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lion shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lion was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lion stands up and beckons Binnani to his feet.

Lion has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Binnani clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Binnani covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Binnani is in a bad position with Lion working for a choke. Binnani manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

Binnani closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lion has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Binnani is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lion is breathing heavily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Binnani jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lion walks away with a smile on his face. Binnani gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Binnani plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Binnani has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lion uses from the top position.

Lion shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Binnani manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
