Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luca Romero (ranked 4332 p4p, 4305 weight class) and Laddy Sutherland (ranked 273 p4p, 271 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sutherland clinches.

Sutherland is fighting off a takedown attempt but Romero is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sutherland to the mat. Sutherland regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Romero on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
