Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wood Chuck (ranked 2712 p4p, 2887 weight class) and Bret Hart (ranked 342 p4p, 359 weight class). Chuck comes into the arena with Who Needs A Girl Like You - Indian Wars blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wood Chuck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bret Hart!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuck throws the left hand but Hart avoids the punch easily.
Hart wants to counter with a clinch but Chuck pushes him away.
Chuck looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hart takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Hart steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chuck.
Hart steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Chuck.
Hart misses with a wild body shot.
Hart ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chuck moves away.
Chuck lands a nice looking body shot.
Chuck darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hart is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Chuck scores with a couple of nice shots.
Chuck lands strikes from half guard.
Chuck wants to advance to full mount but Hart doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Hart is trying to keep Chuck in close.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Chuck landing with the ground and pound.
Chuck keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hart's head.
Hart tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chuck chips away with some ground and pound.
Chuck lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hart throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hart looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chuck is one step ahead there.
Chuck working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hart's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chuck defends well.
Hart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hart looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Chuck has picked Hart up and slammed him! Hart can't keep hold of the triangle and Chuck manages to pass to side control!
Hart takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hart tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Hart is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Hart working to try and regain half guard.
Hart wants to hold on but Chuck pushes him away.
Hart is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Chuck is staying active.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chuck fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Chuck is in the full mount, landing strikes.
BOOM! Chuck connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chuck has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hart's face.
Hart is rocked!
Hart is trying to escape the mount.
Hart is still in real trouble! Can Chuck finish him?
Chuck lands a big elbow - Hart is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Hart is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Wood Chuck!
Our winner, Wood Chuck, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
