Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Lingfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tayaen Porfirigo!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lingfield instigates a clinch.

Lingfield has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Porfirigo clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Lingfield keeps control of the position as Porfirigo tries to break free.
Porfirigo avoids the strikes from Lingfield.
Lingfield really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Porfirigo.
Lingfield has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Porfirigo covering up well and avoiding damage.
Lingfield misses with a punch to the head.
Porfirigo covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Porfirigo is covering up but some of the strikes from Lingfield are getting through and doing damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lingfield is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Lingfield's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lingfield looking to break Porfirigo's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Porfirigo remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Lingfield will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Porfirigo is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Lingfield throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Porfirigo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lingfield is in Porfirigo's guard.
Porfirigo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lingfield controls the pace.
Lingfield keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Porfirigo's head.
Our spies down at at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies inform us that Porfirigo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Jim Lingfield overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Porfirigo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lingfield slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Porfirigo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lingfield is looking to sweep but instead, Porfirigo has passed into half guard.
It looks like Porfirigo is going to stand back up.

Porfirigo is looking to take a break and control but Lingfield is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Lingfield has his foot on Porfirigo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Porfirigo works his way back into a safe position though.

Lingfield manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Porfirigo manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lingfield misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Porfirigo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lingfield's head.
Porfirigo throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lingfield connects with a right hand. Porfirigo shakes it off.
Porfirigo slips a straight right by Lingfield.
And Porfirigo tries to counter it with a takedown but Lingfield pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lingfield wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Lingfield got a little sloppy there for a moment and Porfirigo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lingfield has managed to get both his arms back between Porfirigo's legs - danger averted.

Porfirigo is trying to keep Lingfield in close.
Lingfield controls from within his opponent's guard.

Tayaen Porfirigo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lingfield shoots in looking for a takedown but Porfirigo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lingfield's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lingfield, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Jim Lingfield decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
