Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bah Boman (ranked 5078 p4p, 4233 weight class) and Joshua Brock Jr (ranked 257 p4p, 0 weight class). Boman comes into the arena with Bubble Butt blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bah Boman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joshua Brock Jr!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock Jr lands a high kick!
Brock Jr is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Brock Jr avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Brock Jr fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Boman to the ground. Brock Jr is now in Boman's guard.
Boman keeping moving, preventing Brock Jr from controlling successfully.
Brock Jr must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Brock Jr not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Boman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boman trying to keep a closed guard but Brock Jr is proving a slippery customer.
Brock Jr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brock Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Boman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Boman wants to control from the top but Brock Jr keeps moving.
Brock Jr looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boman is one step ahead there.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brock Jr holds on and takes a little breather.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brock Jr throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Boman pushing down on Brock Jr's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Boman controlling the pace.
Boman wants to control but Brock Jr is keeping him busy.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Brock Jr is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Boman tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Boman has a takedown stuffed.

Brock Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Brock Jr gets caught napping as Boman dives in and scores a takedown. Brock Jr manages to retain guard.
Boman is standing up over Brock Jr. Brock Jr looks to escape but Boman dives into side control.

Brock Jr is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Boman is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Brock Jr tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boman controlling his opponent.
Boman looking to control but Brock Jr is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Brock Jr wants to hold on but Boman pushes him away.
Brock Jr is in all sorts of trouble here.
Boman tries to control but Brock Jr wriggling away.
Boman content just to control the position here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Brock Jr is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bah Boman will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Boman wants to land a leg kick but Brock Jr is out of range.
Brock Jr steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Joshua Brock Jr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boman with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Brock Jr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boman motions for Brock Jr to come forward. Boman throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Brock Jr takes the fight into the clinch.
Boman fails to pull guard.
Boman jumps guard but Brock Jr turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Boman jumps guard but Brock Jr stands there with Boman around his waist. Boman gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bah Boman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Brock Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brock Jr darts in and clinches Boman up against the cage.
Brock Jr lands a nice knee to the body.
Boman fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Brock Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Brock Jr throws a one two combo.

Boman gets a clinch.
Boman is trying to pull guard but Brock Jr has him pressed against the cage.
Boman trying to control the position but instead, Brock Jr has worked for underhooks and has pushed Boman into the cage.

Brock Jr manages to break the clinch.

Brock Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Brock Jr just content to control the position.
Brock Jr trying to control the action but Boman is working from the bottom.

You can see the frustration on Boman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boman is trying to improve his position.
Boman sneaks back into half guard.
Boman trying to control from the bottom.
Brock Jr seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brock Jr is working away from the top position though.
Boman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Brock Jr stands up and waves to Boman to follow him.
Boman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boman fails with a takedown attempt.

Brock Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into Boman's guard.
Boman working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brock Jr.
Brock Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Boman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Boman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Joshua Brock Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Boman shoots for a takedown but Brock Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Boman tries to pull guard but Brock Jr holds him up against the cage and eventually Boman drops back down to his feet.

Brock Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boman tries to improve position but can't.

Brock Jr is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boman has escaped the position, nice work there.
Brock Jr trying to control the position but Boman is working away.
Brock Jr tries to score with some ground and pound. Boman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Brock Jr closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Boman quickly recovers to half guard.
Brock Jr is just content to waste time from the top position. Boman takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Boman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boman keeping moving, preventing Brock Jr from controlling successfully.

Brock Jr controls from within his opponent's guard.
Brock Jr has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Boman is proving hard to escape from.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Boman looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A looping hook to the body misses from Boman. Brock Jr does a little dance to reset his feet.

Brock Jr forces Boman back against the cage and clinches.

Brock Jr gets control of Boman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Brock Jr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Boman postures up.

Brock Jr is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Joshua Brock Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brock Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
