Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorgen Kruth (ranked 850 p4p, 1154 weight class) and Darian Cruz (ranked 62 p4p, 84 weight class). Kruth kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Black Hole Sun- Soundgarden. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruth closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cruz circles away.
We've been hearing reports that Kruth has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Kruth is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cruz knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

My spies in Bloody death gym inform me that Cruz has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Cruz feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kruth looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Cruz is defending well. Kruth quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Cruz has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kruth celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

After the fight, Jorgen Kruth was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
