Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henry Shewmaker (ranked 2314 p4p, 2000 weight class) and Kamu Havas (ranked 114 p4p, 99 weight class). Havas has chosen LXST CXNTURY - CARBON MIST as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shewmaker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Shewmaker misses with a few strikes there.
Havas throws a lazy right hand but Shewmaker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Havas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Havas.
Havas misses with a punch on the inside.
Shewmaker lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Havas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Shewmaker lands with a light punch inside.
Shewmaker tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Havas wants to get back to striking at distance but Shewmaker won't allow it.

It looks like Kamu Havas has been cut.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Havas creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shewmaker using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Havas has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Havas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shewmaker circles away from the clinch attempt.

Shewmaker throws a one two combo.
Havas throws a hook but Shewmaker avoids it easily.
Havas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shewmaker on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Shewmaker drops Havas with a beautiful combination! Havas stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Shewmaker is looking for the KO!

That has opened up Kamu Havas's cut even more.
Havas uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shewmaker.
Havas has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Shewmaker throws a sloppy head kick and Havas moves out of range easily.
Shewmaker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Havas lands a left and a right that send Shewmaker crashing to the mat, dazed. Havas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Henry Shewmaker has been cut.
Havas misses with a looping right.
Shewmaker misses with a jab, cross combination.
It seemed like Havas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Some wild striking there from Shewmaker.
Henry Shewmaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shewmaker lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Havas can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Shewmaker and Havas drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Shewmaker.
