Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

Rassum fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Rassum postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Abott is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rassum, into his guard.

Rassum has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Abott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rassum had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Abott is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rassum Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Abott's back instead.

Rassum thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rassum is looking to take a break and control but Abott is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Rassum swings around for an armbar but Abott sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Rassum's guard.

Rassum has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Abott is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rassum.

Abott decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Rassum takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Abott falls off balance throwing a combination

and Rassum counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rassum.

Rassum wants to get back to his feet but Abott is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rassum accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
