The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masiina has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Macale finds it's way round the side to connect with Masiina's head.
Masiina lands a head kick!
Macale cracks Masiina with a good jab.
Masiina tries to clinch there but Macale circles away.

Masiina feints and as Macale raises his hands in defense, Masiina changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Macale lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Masiina!

Masiina is trying desperately to improve position.
Macale jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Masiina is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Masiina and Macale has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Macale tries for a kimura but Masiina is defending well.
Macale decides to stand back up. Macale steps back and let's Masiina get back to his feet.

Macale takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Masiina is looking to clinch.
Macale throws out a powerful jab.
Masiina buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Masiina misses the target.
Macale scores with a jab to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Masiina shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Macale but Macale pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Maik Masiina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Macale takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Masiina tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Masiina throws a sloppy head kick and Macale moves out of range easily.
Macale throws out a loose jab but Masiina uses good head movement to avoid it.

An inside leg kick lands from Masiina.
Masiina defending well as Macale loads up on a big left hand.
Masiina lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Masiina rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Macale moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Masiina looks for a takedown but Macale sprawls well.
Masiina throws out a loose jab but Macale uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Masiina throws a half hearted mid kick.
Macale bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Macale clobbers Masiina with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Masiina looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Macale is fending him off so far but Masiina persists. Nope, Macale circles away and we're back to standing.

Masiina uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Macale.
Macale slips under a jab.
Macale catches Masiina napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Masiina to the canvas!
Masiina is rocked!
It looks like Maik Masiina has been cut.
Macale with a flurry of punches that miss.
Macale sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Masiina's guard.
Masiina flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Macale is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Masiina!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Macale lands a big elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Masiina tries to lock up and control but Macale gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Macale can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Masiina is looking to escape.
Macale has isolated one of Masiina's arms. Masiina looking to fight him off but Macale twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
