Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pompileo Medina!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyrie Braxton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braxton takes one on the button.
Braxton wants to clinch.
Medina drops down looking for a counter takedown but Braxton sprawls and moves away.
Medina scores with a hook.
Medina connects with a body shot.
Medina scores with a jab to the jaw.
Braxton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Medina circles away.
Medina thuds a left hand into Braxton's body.
Medina lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Braxton is rocked!
Medina stuffs the takedown attempt from Braxton. Braxton gets slowly back to his feet.
Braxton is still on wobbly legs! Can Medina finish him?
Medina swats away the attempt to clinch by Braxton.
Braxton seems to have recovered his senses.
Medina cracks Braxton with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Braxton tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Medina pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Braxton is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pompileo Medina!
