Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richmond Belvedere (ranked 1546 p4p, 1543 weight class) and Jackie Chan (ranked 196 p4p, 195 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richmond Belvedere!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackie Chan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belvedere connects with a body shot.
Chan is looking to clinch.
Belvedere dodges the punch combination from Chan.
Belvedere just misses with a punch to the body.

Chan moves into the clinch.
Chan prevents a body shot from Belvedere.

Belvedere gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Chan manages to get to full guard.
Belvedere advances to half guard.
Belvedere tries to pass to full mount but Chan defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Belvedere works his way into side control.

Belvedere goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Chan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Belvedere's guard! Nice work there by Chan!

Belvedere isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Chan stacks Belvedere on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Chan!
Belvedere is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Chan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Belvedere blocking the ground and pound attempt from Chan.
Belvedere trying to hold on to Chan's head to control him but Chan postures up.
Belvedere is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Roosters Coop that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Chan is keen to just control but Belvedere is a slippery customer.

Belvedere makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belvedere.
Chan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Chan thows a huge punch but Belvedere dodges it nicely.

Belvedere is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chan is keen to just control but Belvedere is a slippery customer.
Chan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Chan is trying to work for a kimura but Belvedere is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Belvedere is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chan pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are battling for position here. Belvedere manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Belvedere escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Belvedere keeping moving, preventing Chan from controlling successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chan stopping the sweep attempt from Belvedere.
Chan wants to control from the top but Belvedere keeps moving.
Chan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Richmond Belvedere will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Belvedere misses with a leg kick

and Chan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Belvedere won't be happy with that.
A control attempt from Belvedere but he's now mounted!
Belvedere swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Chan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
BOOM! Chan connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Belvedere tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Chan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Belvedere is looking to escape.
Belvedere is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Chan looking to control but Belvedere is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Belvedere working to try and regain half guard.

Chan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Belvedere is in all sorts of trouble here.
Chan wants to control the pace but Belvedere is squirming around nicely.
Belvedere regains half guard.
Chan is looking to take a break and control but Belvedere is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Chan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Belvedere's head.
Chan is keen to just control but Belvedere is a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Chan prevents Belvedere from improving his position.
Jackie Chan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Belvedere looking for subs from the bottom but Chan mounts him!
Chan tries to control but Belvedere wriggling away.
Chan controlling the position easily from mount.
Belvedere is trying to escape the mount.
Chan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Belvedere is in all sorts of trouble here.

Belvedere regains half guard.
Chan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Belvedere!

Poor strikes thrown by Chan there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Chan lands a big shot there that rocks Belvedere but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Chan goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Belvedere is on top in guard.
Belvedere works over Chan with some ground and pound from guard.
Belvedere tries to free his leg and advance position but Chan is retaining full guard.
Chan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Belvedere's guard.

Belvedere doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Belvedere had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Chan defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Belvedere trying to keep a closed guard but Chan is proving a slippery customer.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Belvedere seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Jackie Chan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Belvedere drives through with a takedown into Chan's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Belvedere got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Belvedere has managed to get both his arms back between Chan's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chan has momentary wrist control but Belvedere slips an elbow through the middle.
Chan tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Chan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Chan controls Belvedere momentarily but Belvedere frees himself.
Chan is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Belvedere punishes Chan's body with a nice straight punch.
Belvedere lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Belvedere cracks Chan with a good jab.
Belvedere throws a hook but Chan avoids it easily.
Chan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Belvedere.
Chan throws a jab when Belvedere was well out of range.
A slow jab from Belvedere misses its intended target.

Chan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Belvedere to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Belvedere stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Chan fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Belvedere fails with a takedown attempt.
Chan looks to score with a jab to the body but Belvedere is just out of range.
Chan throws a left and a right that both miss

and Belvedere moves into the clinch.
Belvedere pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Belvedere misses with an elbow over the top.
Chan blocks the elbow strike.
Belvedere dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Chan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Belvedere is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Chan tries to throw a body punch but Belvedere avoids it by throwing Chan back against the cage.
Chan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Belvedere smiles and moves away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Belvedere throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Belvedere throws a hook to the side of Chan's head but Chan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chan ducks under a wild hook from Belvedere.
Belvedere smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Belvedere tries to avoid it but Chan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Belvedere to the ground. Belvedere escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Richmond Belvedere has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackie Chan.
Chan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Chan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Chan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters circling - Belvedere throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Chan looks for a takedown but Belvedere sprawls well.
Chan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Belvedere tries to counter by clinching up but Chan breaks away and moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Richmond Belvedere showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Belvedere has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
